Kerris Peterson (Browne) - Owner/CEO
With qualifications in Management, Accounting, and Computing, and having helped her father build Peterson’s for more than 10 years, Kerris knows what works for customers and what doesn't. Spending her younger years in the jungles of Fiji, the family was eventually forced to flee to New Zealand in 1987 due to a Military Coup. Marrying a local "kiwi" boy Chris Browne they have successfully built both a business and a family with two young children. When she can find the time, Kerris enjoys farming, landscaping, renovating and designing. |

Aaron Kalan - Senior Sales Consultant
Aaron is the Mill Consultant to all new enquiries. Aaron has worked in the timber industry for 15 years and brings a wealth of industry knowledge to Peterson's. Previous positions include timber machinist, grinding room technician, and Manufacturing Coordinator, managing up to 30 people at any one time. In his spare time Aaron enjoys spending it with his family, and has just finished building a playground for his kids Liam and Ashleigh. When not working around the house Aaron will be out hunting, fishing, camping, trail riding - or anything to do with the outdoors!

| Rosie Decker -
European Business Development Manager
Rosie is based for most of the year at our European office in York, England, where she sources and manages our European distributors. When not in the office she is out demonstrating the mills at one of our many Europeans shows. With a business degree and 5 years in Sales and Marketing in the UK, Rosie arrived at Petersons, Rotorua 5 years ago as our Marketing Manager. That role got bigger as the company grew and she decided to focus on the European side of the business and therefore spend her time in England with her family. Outside of work you will find her mountain biking, wake boarding or helping out on her dad’s farm. |

Lee Morris - International Distribution Consultant
Lee was born in Manchester England during the baby boom years. After finishing school in 1976, he began a Mechanical Apprenticeship which took five years to complete. In 1992 after spending 15 years with the same company working as a Diesel Mechanic, Lee moved to NZ and took up a sales role with an engineering supply company. After completing a diploma in sales, he eventually found himself leaning more toward the forestry industry, which is what brought him to us. Lee's primary role with Peterson’s is developing and taking care of our Global Agents which he finds very rewarding. Lee's passion in any spare time he may have is horse racing, and he hopes to one day own his own race horse - luckily for him his wife Lorraine shares his interest!

Marama Christie - Export Logistics
Once you've purchased your mill Marama takes over and makes sure it gets to you in good time, and in good condition. She's been with Peterson's five years now and works tirelessly, always willing to help others, and always wearing a smile. Marama happily juggles her job with three teenage daughters, a son, a husband, and a dog that needs walking twice a day! If she's lucky enough to find any spare time she'll usually snuggle up with a good book. Her name means 'moon' in her native New Zealand and if you were wondering how to pronounce it, she says, "How does a lamb go? Baa, baa. Well, for me, it's Maa-ra-maa!". |

Nicky Walker - Sales Facilitator
Nicky returns to the workforce after enjoying five years with her two sons at home. Having lived all over the country, including places like Opononi and Mokauti, Nicky always seems to return to Rotorua. Having previously organized international shows for Petersons, Nicky has fit into her new role in the Sales department easily and enjoys speaking with people worldwide. In her spare time, Nicky can be found renovating the house with her husband, spending time with her kids or curled up with a good book. |

Veronica Doidge - Research & Marketing Assistant
Veronica is from Bariloche, Patagonia - Argentina. During a holiday she fell for a kiwi boy and she’s been living in Rotorua for almost eight years now. Quite busy with three kids she is trying to complete a Bachelor degree in International Business & Marketing as well as managing part –time her latest entrepreneurial adventure. As our in-house South American expert, Veronica researches new markets as well as creating and maintaining relationships with our international customers. Veronica enjoys spending her spare time with her family. |

Emma Aldridge - Marketing Administrator
Emma is the youngest member of the Peterson Sawmill family, but she brings a heap of experience with her. She was previously employed at the local newspaper where she managed the database, developed new computer systems, and worked the reception, amongst other duties. She loves organising 'stuff', so her role in marketing is well-suited.
In her spare time you'll find her in a shopping mall, probably buying a new pair of shoes, or she'll be out in the forest riding her horses. Born in Rotorua, Emma lived out in a little place called Te Whaiti in the Whirinaki Forest, before moving back to Rotorua to work.

Holly Davenport – Operations Administrator
Holly was born in Rotorua, but spent her early years in Murupara, then gradually came full circle back to Rotorua. Holly has recently completed four-years of study at the University of Canterbury, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. Holly brings her skills gained as a student to her job, learning what is involved in running a rapidly growing export business. When she’s not learning, Holly can be found running in the Redwood Forest, biking about town, Scottish Country dancing the night away, or indulging in her love for good food, books and movies.

Ma Temara - Marketing Assistant
Ma is what we like to call our ‘Shows girl’ here at Petersons. One of Ma’s main roles is to organise all trade shows and expositions that we attend and exhibit our mills at each year. Ma also handles our advertising. She was raised here in Rotorua, but was also raised in a little place called Ruatahuna high up in the Urewera Forests. Being the youngest of five brothers and having a sports fanatic father Ma came to be fan of all sports and in her spare time enjoys playing hockey, watching rugby and even teeing off at the local driving range. Ma is also fluent in Te Reo Maori – New Zealand’s native language and is an active member of a Maori Performing Arts group called ‘Ruatahuna’, who compete in Maori Cultural Competitions around New Zealand.

Sam Hudson – Multi Media Specialist
Sam was born in Gisborne, grew up in Hastings and now resides in Rotorua. His background consists of a variety of experiences including music and video production, graphic and web design. He has over 15 years in the music industry - writing, composing and performing his own music. He also operates his own independent record company/multi media business called Soundsquad Entertainment. Sam’s primary role with Petersons is in the Multi Media department developing product promotional media. In his spare time Sam loves to spend quality time with family, going to the gym or watching a good movie.

Donna Bates – Office Administrator
Donna has been around Petersons for a while her first position here was the Export Manager and Parts Purchasing Officer, and now returning three years later she works here as the Office Administrator for both Peterson Global Sales and P&B Engineering. Donna has a teenage daughter and a partner with 2 children so that makes three children in total. She has caught the travel bug and has started to see the rest of the world with plans to see a lot more over the next few years. |

Denise Browne - Small Part Sales
Denise fills the chair at the front desk and is usually the first person to greet you when you call. Denise left us for a while but we just couldn't replace her so she came back to work with us. Family is always her first priority, Denise has four children at home that she loves caring for, along with all their friends. During the winter it's all about rugby, with two of her sons playing the game (she's hoping for a future All Black!). In her spare time, Denise is enjoying being at the gym and has taken an interest at becoming a body builder. |

Chris Browne - Managing Director
Chris is the resident expert on portable sawmills. With 16 years experience it won't take you long to realize he knows his stuff. With a varied background in farming, sporting goods, earth moving equipment and automotive engineering, Chris now owns the manufacturing company that produces Peterson sawmills. Initially working just weekends at Peterson’s, helping out at the factory and show demonstrations, it wasn't long before Chris was roped into a full time job and realized he had been here for over 13 years. Chris organizes the factory, but is often found on the show circuit, traveling to do demonstrations at locations around the world. Oh, and Chris is married to Kerris. |

Dianne Garmonsway - Office Manager
Dianne likes to be called Di for short, she is the one at P&B who pays everyone; staff, creditors, IRD etc. She is responsible for keeping all the checks and balances in order ensuring that the factory is running smoothly and efficiently. When a mill has been manufactured and is ready to be despatched, Di makes sure that all the appropriate paperwork has been done and signed off. (Especially keeping an eye on Chris's paperwork). She has the factory staff's best interest at heart, making sure they are happy in their work and needs are met. In her spare time she can often be found running around on a squash court or out enjoying the good life with her husband Ray.

Alan Wright - Purchasing Officer
Alan joined the company to take control of the purchasing of parts, and also finding the best suppliers. He is new to this type of industry, having previously worked in the freight and courier sector most of his life. He feels that since he has survived living with three women (a wife and two teenage daughters) for the last 20 years, then he can adjust to any challenge that is given to him. If he's able to find any spare time he'll use it doing a computer course, or be out there on a boat fishing. |

Mark Upshall - Technical Support Coordinator
Mark is originally from Portsmouth in the United Kingdom which is where he met his Kiwi wife and decided to move to New Zealand. Mark spent his first six years working in Auckland as a Technical Trainer and then as Production Manager, before he and his wife relocated to Rotorua in 2007. At Peterson's, Mark's responsibilities include Research and Development, technical support, instruction manuals and translations, legislative requirements and mill testing. When Mark isn't at work, he is out in the forest riding, building or maintaining some of the best mountain bike trails in New Zealand. |

Ven Lamba - Technical/Network Administrator With an Electronics degree behind him, Ven entered the computer industry in India. Working in a power plant he held responsibilities for the computer network, material management and inventory control. He moved to New Zealand four years ago with his wife and daughter, and it didn't take long before he was a converted rugby fan (but says he was forced by his daughter to watch the Lions!). Ven joined Peterson's last year and enjoys being involved in computer networking and creating engineering drawings for the sawmills. In his spare time he enjoys traveling and bush walking. |
