One of our factory workers, Paul, is trying to adjust something on an old Automated Swingblade Mill but finds it's been wound up just a little out of his reach.
Lucky for him he can still operate the machine, since the controls are down low. I don't think we could use him to tail out though on a new log!
This giant frame ASM was custom made for a New Zealand customer who runs a commercial operation with native timbers. The frame stands just under 9 feet (2.7 metres) tall, and can accommodate a log over 8 feet (2.5 metres) wide.
The log pictured here is over 4 foot (1.2 metres) wide, just for some perspective. Another U.S. owner flew in to have a look at it, fell in love, and ordered one for himself. We love making people happy! |
