Peterson’s lend a hand to victims of Katrina

storm2Images of the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina earlier last month were flashed on television and computer screens around the world. We looked on in horror at the power and brutal force, unable to fathom the extent of the destruction, and saddened by the loss of so many lives.

It’s hard to help when you’re on the other side of the world.

Peterson’s have found one practical way that we can help though. It’s not much, but it’s hopefully going to help residents who were hit by the hurricane take a step on that long road to recovery.

We heard that downed trees were becoming a problem. So many were brought down by the storm, and now they don’t know what to do with them.

So, we are looking for Peterson owners and millers in Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana, to put their hand up and offer their services, either in contract or volunteer work, to help salvage the downed timber.

If you are wanting to help and are an owner within the affected states or the nearby surrounding states, thankyou. Please email your contact details, and a list of services through to sales..

If you are looking to purchase a mill, to help victims in the affected areas or to aid the recovery of logs on your own property, we are able to offer a number of models at reduced prices.

Otherwise, if you are in need of a mill and would appreciate someone’s services, please contact sales and he will put you in touch with one of our owners.

Thank you for your help and your generosity in this time of need.
