Kevin Jensen bought a Peterson portable sawmill to build his dream home. Kevin admits to being fussy, but as he said, “This sawmill was especially for my house project and I like to do a good job.”
He describes the Peterson as the “best do-it-yourself sawmill on the market”.
With no previous experience until he picked up his mill, Kevin has since been able
to create exterior and interior panels, decking, rails, bench tops and beams simply by setting up his Peterson Sawmill around the old Macrocarpa logs that had been lying idle in his orchard.
“Its great, I have been able to do most of the work all by myself including milling the timber, varnishing and prep work”.
Kevin adds… “Word of mouth has spread and people are coming to me asking for pre-cut timber. I am really busy”.
Not only that, but he is now milling his neighbours’ timber for their house renovations as well!
